Love photography and I made it to my profession – that was many moons ago. I’m still in love with it and I would choose it again.
This is an amazing photo! I like the enormity of the subject, and all of the colors blend together perfectly in that beautiful light. Nice work, Susanne!
I’m happy that you like this photo too. Thanks for the great comment.

beautiful shot, great light
Thanks you :)
BEAUTIFUL!!!! Susanne this is a great shot!
Thank you so much, Charmiene :)
Wow an amazing shot, the trees look like they are growing into the earth rather than out.
they are grown in on some places, indeed. The tree is over 1200 years old. Thank you for the comment.

Thanks for the invite, Calvin. I think ALL the trees are in the group now and I’m very proud of it.
Gorgeous shot or our beautiful Angel Oak Susanne. They are the most wonderful trees and one can’t imagine how massive they are without seeing them in person. You captured such beautiful light coming through the branches. Outstanding capture and a favorite. Kathy :)
I read that they want to cut down this magnificent tree because of a constructing a “Angel Oak Village”!!!! How crazy is that!?!!Thank you very much for liking my picture, dear Kathy!
Hi Susanne, where did you read that???? I doubt the State will allow them to cut this tree down as they are protected and this is the oldest, over 1000 years old. Oh my goodness. I’m going to have to start looking into it. What a horrible shame that would be. Thanks for letting me know. Kathy :)
There were somewhere a campaign about, I think it was a private initiative from the friends of the “Angel Oak”… they created a “protect the Angel Oak” committee. They were asking online to sign up and to support them. They wanted to present those signatures to the company who wants to build that “Angel Oak Village”. I hope the city of Charleston has some friends and protectors of that beautiful tree too…!!! It would be a big shame, otherwise!!!
Glorious lighting, colors, clarity, comp & mood here, Susanne! Exceptional work! Admire you macros also!
Woo-hooo… thank you so much, Paddio! You made my day with your wonderful compliment to my work in photography. I do appreciate it very much!!! :))
You are welcome, Susanne!
