Over recent years I have been developing skills in a variety of media. I particularly enjoy experimenting in mixed media to create textural qualities.

My inspiration lies largely within the natural world of trees, flowers and landscapes which I interpret mostly in acrylic paint and painted collages. I sometimes venture into textiles and I enjoy combining printmaking with painting.

I have not heard of this type of ink..is it a special kind or just the brand name…I like the effect you’ve achieved…you would fit in perfectly with my painting group…we like to experiment with all kinds of techniques…

  • I would love to go to your painting group if I lived near you. I love experimenting in a variety of media and combining different media. It can take alot of time and some outcomes are disappointing whilst others are pleasantly surprising! However, as I am working in print at present I am determined that the unsuccessful ones will be redeemed by overprinting, as backgrounds or I will draw and paint into them if at all possible!!
Brusho is a water colour ink sold in powder form from specialist suppliers. It can be made up with water or sprinkled onto dampened paper or sprayed with water. It can be very vibrant and gives great colour mixes on the paper.

I don’t know if it available here but I can probably order it…does it keep it’s colour?

I have used it on tissue paper on canvas with PVA and then used dilute gum arabic to enhance and seal, over the last two years – Parrot Tulip is still very vibrant. I’m not sure enough to say yes, just as far as I know.
