A study of …What really are the colors in shadows? As an artist …I strive for realism plus continue to enjoy the ease and non-stress technique of impressionism. Impressionism I have found, helps cover the large expanses of a surface, yet allows you to drop in the dimension of realism. Both techniques …are a constant challenge for me… combining the two is like serving two masters in the hope of making one. The original of this piece has the honor of hanging in the lobby, common area of one of our local Mesquite banks.
This piece is dedicated to this Magnificent American Icon.
This piece is an acrylic with an oil wash, painted on a 24"x 28" artist stretched canvas.
