What is it about a Cowboy…
I always return to my most favorite subject matter. Cowboys have always represented to me the true spirit and character of the American West.
Even after over 30 years, my paintings continue to be a journey of discovery and challenge… as always starting with a detailed drawing (my road map..)
I have included the progression pictures of this work in the side bar for your viewing… and my students who continue to use RB as a detail study tool…

I enjoy a full time career as a working Fine Art Artist and Natural Lifestyle Photographer.
To me, my art and photography is the best way to express what I see around me.
I also teach both mediums and I host 2 and 3 day Art and Photography Retreats through my private studio on my desert property in Nevada.
I formed Elbow Canyon Fine Art & Photography Retreats several years ago to offer my students a unique one-on-one instruction.
