Artist's Description

“Evening Roundup”

This event still takes place here in the southwest desert…
Huge land masses belonging to the government of the US (BLM, Bureau Of Land Management, Open Range) is used by ranchers for rotating their grazing herds trough out the year.
It used to be free to farmers and ranchers… but now area cattlemen have to pay a fee to be able to take advantage of these millions of acres of open range.

This piece is dedicated to the times before barbed wire.

This is an original pastel and prismacolor pencil drawing, drawn on cold pressed, acid free, bonded artist drawing paper.

Thank You for viewing my art.
