A friend of mine seems to have the ability to find the most elusive stray horses.
Pockets of emerald green grass up in the high country of Colorado is where he heads and sure enough these AOL Equines are content to graze to their hearts content.
However in the sometimes quick turning weather of Fall in the Rockies, the snow could be flying overnight and will strand these amimals in the blink of an eye.
Riding up into the high pastures and picking up strays is a routine trek as you start moving the herd down to lower pastures to spend the winter.
This drawing is dedicated to the Cowboys who take care of the strays.
Pickin’ Up Strays is an original Pastel, Prismacolor Pencil drawing.
Drawn on card stock, acid free, bonded, artist drawing paper.
