The movie Lonesome Dove was a huge turning point in my art journey and career. This painting was the first close to life size portrait I ever attempted.

Western and Cowboy art came to the forefront of my subject matter in the majority of my work with the challenge and completion of this painting.
This is an oil painting, 24" X 30" in size. A dominate statement piece and was created back in the late 80’s with the advent of the movie and still hangs in our home today. One of the first paintings a person sees when walking into our home.

I owe a lot to Gus and Woodrow…the characters and movie propelled me in a direction that I still strive for perfection. The Western Cowboy and Lifestyle.

Dedicated to all the Gus and Woodrow’s out there… the spirit of the West and Cowboy is still alive and well in this artist’s mind.

My Studio and Gallery is located in the Nevada/Arizona desert outside of Mesquite, Nevada.
I create my own work, compose commissioned pieces, teach private students and conduct 3 and 4 day drawing and painting workshops.

Thank you for viewing my art…comments always Appreciated…it is food for the Artist Soul.
