This painting was inspired by a photograph I took years ago.
We always had something going on at our small ranch in Colorado
where it concerned Horses and Cowboys.
Everyone would gather together, Cowboy Up and go out and ride the foothills of the Rockies.
The end of the ride was just as interesting to watch and photograph as the heading out for the ride.
Upon returning from hours on the trails, the guys would unsaddle then proceed to take a stroll around the corral with their horses to help them cool down and dry out some of the tack.
Over the years I named it The Cool Down Parade.
Cowboy Wisdom… “You never ride hard and put away wet”…
The Cool Down Parade is yet another level of the bond of trust and respect between man and horse this painting is dedicated to both.
