Sad to say, this is one of the paintings from the many paintings and drawings that were totally destroyed in the horrific house fire we had in January of this year 2015.
This was one of my first oil paintings where I was turning to and developing my love of Western Art.
Painted over 30 years ago, this was one of a very private collection of mine of “Turning Point Paintings”. These paintings appeared and showed me that my techniques and style was evolving. I used these paintings as bench marks in my journey as an artist.
I had a collection of 10 turning point paintings… this original painting and several other’s in this collection are gone forever. I had intended to look at them for the rest of my life.
Thanks to sites like Redbubble and other art sites I am on, there will always be prints and myriad of products available.
I re-dedicate this painting to living with the loss and fond memories.
The romance of the West, the Cowboy and Horses is a subject I always return to in my fine art.
I live both in Colorado and in Nevada, so I have an endless supply of personal photography that I turn to for paintings and drawings.
Thank you for viewing my art, comments are always appreciated
