Our last visit to South Africa, it was our goal to get out of the big cities and stay in “out of the way”, rural accommodations.
We were introduced to a wonderful, enchanting place north of Johannesburg called DIE OU PASTORIE. Translated into “The House of the Pastor”.
This lovely place had been the residence of the local province Pastor back in the late 1800"s. The main house and all the existing buildings had been transformed into a beautiful Guest House and B&B.
The gardens and grounds were in Spring bloom and my favorite time of the day was the morning and breakfast on the Pastor’s front porch.
