Maddy Is Growing Up
Several years ago I did one of my “Little People Portraits” for a friend of mine…her Granddaughter Maddilyn (Maddy) was such a little person so full of life!
Her big smile, that red hair and a little mischief in her eyes was hard to pass up as an artist… the side bar shows the “Little People Portrait” I had drawn in Pastels over two years ago.
I stopped in to my friend’s office and there was this glorious photo of Maddy on her desk… I had to attempt an update. I hope I re-captured the vibrant life in this little girl…
“Maddy Is Growing Up” is an oil and acrylic painting, painted on Gallery Wapped Artist Portrait Canvas and is 18”x24” in size.
I don’t charge my friend for my work…it is good practice for me and I plan to continue to update her portraits as Maddy Grows Up!

Detail is my constant companion sometimes to a fault (at least in my art) ...sometimes it can grind me right into the ground and I have to go back and be my own student! Thanks my friend for the wonderful comment!
