Phoenix #5
This is Phoenix…he is my neighbor and comes to see me every couple of days…he’s an old, old guy and it is hard for him to get around…but he loves all the dogs in our pack… picks out his spot and lays down in the drive way and knows he will be included in the treats and scratches…plus he knows he will get his favorite bowl of ice. He loves to chew on ice cubes!
I am making a Cristmas Calendar for the folks that own Phoenix…and the captures are just too cool not to share…thus the #5…so you may see more of this old man…

Awww…he’s beautiful! It makes me sad that they get old but lucky for him, his world has been filled with love, treats, and ice cubes (we call those “cheap treats” around here!). Maybe you should make them a calendar of all the different poses….imagine what a keepsake it would be! Of course, now I’d like to see you do a drawing of this lovely old soul!

Thanks Byron…sadly we hope he makes it through the winter…he has lost so much strength in both back legs… but still comes to see me somehow…he is a huge guy and it is so hard for him to get around …but he still shows up for his treats and ice cubes!
