Take A Letter Please...

It never ceases to amaze me just how far we have come with technology…just take a stroll through a museum and what we thought was the “edge of technology” is now over the edge into obsolete.
However, my grandfather typed all of his personal letters on his Smith/Corona till the day he died. Said the sound of the keys kept him focused…

These manuals were still cranking when I learned to type in high school. Of course they weren’t quite this old. I could do a good 70 words per minute. lol. Another fine image. Congrats on the features!!!

I think it is still around somewhere…........

  • barnsis

    barnsis

Well we don’t call them trout, but trot, it is a tight line stretched across a stream or lake with hooks dropped from the line every three feet down from the line for a distance of two feet, you then add a weight to get the line near the bottom.

  • Susan Bergstrom replied

hummm…and this was used for fishing??? and who in the world would think of using an old typewriter? Wouldn’t a cinderblock or a stone be more handy??? Must be a Missouri thing! LOL

  • Dave Corn

    Dave Corn

No it is a JOKE, when something is not worth anything even if it is old or an antique then that is the expression used, good for a trot line weight. Meaning worth nothing. Sorry i have to explain my humor to you { :>) My fault not yours.
