The Duke
John Wayne was my childhood Hero…I would go to the movies every Sat. morning and be transfixed with the enormity of this cowboy on the silver screen…I just knew I would marry Big John when I grew up and I can honestly say I saw everyone of his movies… many of them many, many times…
My favorite was “Angel And The Badman”...His name was “Quirt” in that movie and I grew up loving that name…I just knew “Quirt” was going to ride onto my grandparents place and we would ride off into the sunset…never happened…John died way too early…I was so sad and felt I had lost a dear friend…
This is an original pastel , prismacolor pencil drawing on card stock, smooth bonded, acid free paper.
