The Gold Standard

The Gold Standard

This is a capture of the Gold Plated Lion in the front entry of the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was rumored that the gold that was applied to the sculpture is valued over a Million Dollars….It is over 12 plus feet tall and I can’t even guess what this weighs, special supports were put in place under the sculpture to accomidate the weight. It is also suppose to be good luck to go up and touch it.

Original digital photograph.
Taken with a Sony Full HD 1080 Cyber Shot camera.
