Again, beautiful, as all above have expressed so well – and another of yours that draws so many kudos, it’s one of those I set my mouse to “scroll down to last of comments”, and go out for a coffee during the process. Beautifully done. And there’s that whimsical, nostalgic feeling it evokes despite the fact that I’ve only been within a few feet of a horse on 2 or 3 occasions, when I accompanied an ex to the stables in CT to watch her “ride”
– if riding in circles within a large [whatever its called] smaller than a football field concerned exclusively with how well, technically, horse and rider ‘work’ together, and with as much – if not more – attention paid to her ‘riding ensemble’ than to the experience of riding. This captures what I imagine is the true joy of riding, and your image, beyond the gorgeous artistry, actuallt creates in me a real feel for the experience – I can almost smell the pine and snow in the air.

To me “Drasage” what your “ex” was doing…is somewhat of an art form… but western riding is a way of life..I have had horses for most of my life and it really is a total trip to have control over such a huge animal…Like I said in earlier posts, this fellow really exists, he is probably sittin’ infront of his fire in his cabin, as I write, up in the Northern Colo. Rockies.
It would be great if you could fine a place where you live and just go out and be among the equines , walk among them, get into their thoughs, let them get close to you and take some of your awesome captures of them..would love to see how you would capture a horse!!! They really are large gentle, awesome, sensitive creatures…like they say out west …the best thing for a man (or woman) is the back of a horse!
