Excellent work as usual but taps the heart that he waits for some impossible resurrection of his best friend. I love his faith though.
Thank you, Donna.I’m really glad when my heroes begin living their own lives as soon as they encounter your imagination
Outstanding, deeply psychological work….kinda sad….but our life is mostly sad….if you are a phylosopher… :-)
Thank you, Vitaliy.Just a hint: the work was definitely inspired by the song A Smart Kid from album Stupid Dream of English band Porcupine Tree http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6aF7u-oe40
superb work Sergei…..just exceptional in every way.
thank you, LisaI’m glad you like it
thought provoking piece, love it
I appreciate it, Larry
This is deliciously dark! I have to say, it strikes a chord, I think it’s “Very Russian” – not meant offensively in any way! This IS in fact, my late uncle Alex (if I didn’t know better, I would think he modeled for the piece). When I say “very Russian” it’s hard to put in words, but I’m told we have a unique attitude. A quote comes to mind… “The Russian heart is dark and full of secrets.” I have never been there but was raised in a very Russian family in the States which over-all, has made me just a little “strange” among Americans, I think! Either way, excuse my going on but this drew me in like a magnet. Just superb! I hope you’ll consider adding this to Cutting Edge, we’d love to have it in the group.
Thank you a lot, Nadya. I believe, it’s good that my artwork lets you see, whatever you want to see. By the way, some other viewers also claimed they knew or met this man in their lives. An interesting statement about “very Russian” – never heard it before, I would hardly assume this kind of vision from the overseas. Welcome to see more, you may like some other works.
