The event started at 4:30pm, and went to 9:pm. There we over 70 artist who carved, and the carving would blow the mind of any art lover, or artist.
Matter of fact I told one artist who I know, who is a professional Stain Glass artist, that he shouldn’t be surprise he wasn’t awarded any prizes for his pumpkin carving, because the competition is too thick. I told Him, any artist who think they are going to walk into this event,with the idea that they are going to win on shear talent, should hire a carpenter to install double door , and widen the hall ways in their home, so they won’t starve to death, because they couldn’t get to the kitchen, because their head is to big to enter it !
My theme this year for my pumpkin was,” America Called To Prayer ”. I carved an American flag( waving) with a heart positioned in the center of it, with praying hands in side the heart. It took me 3 hrs and 45 minutes to complete. I had to carve it on my knees , because the pumpkin are place on hay bails, and after that amount of time on my knee, it felt like I would never walk again.
My pumpkin came out well, I thank ever one who prayed, that I would do well in my carving. I also was interviewed , and filmed while carving.
These mind blowing creation of art , are on display, Tonight October 24th, and tomorrow night, October 25th, is the last night,from 5:00pm to 9:00 Pm.
There is food, live music , and hay ride, something for the whole family.

This event is taking place at the grounds of the Chadds Ford Historical Society grounds, They are located 10 minutes from Pennsylvania / Delaware boarder , they are off of the junction of Rt. 1, and Rt. 100, make a left at Hank’s restaurant,
and go up less then a quarter mile, the place will be on the left. Free parking.
