Self Portriat by Stephen J. Vattimo

Currently unavailable for purchase

This is a self portrait done in Pen and ink. I am going to use it as reference for a character I am putting in a painting I am presently working on.
I made the picture dark so i can see the different shadows that appear on the face.
This is the second portrait I have done during my life. I possess very few picture or photos of my self. I find it hard to do self portrait. Having to stare in a mirror and record what one see.
One person who saw this portrait claimed that I made my self look like a serial killer. I replied with wit, I used to be a police sketch artist. If I drew a portrait of Orphan Anny, she would turn out looking like Ted Bondy.

Good rendering, without a real image to compare with I can’t say how much it would look like you.
