Artist's Description

Untranslatable words: torschlusßpanik

A German word that literally means “gate-closing panic,” but usually implies something like “the fear of diminishing opportunities as one gets older.”

Comes from the fear in the middle ages of being late to get inside the castle as they shut the gate for an impending attack by marauding hordes.
