Life Unplanned

Dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if you’ll die today.

I think it’s important to find balance in the way
That I go through time, I’ll find some manic rhyme
Between delusion and reality.

I reminisce on the past
All the memories that last
I breathe in the present
Won’t waste seconds spent
I settle for the future
Can’t predict the obscure

There’s nothing else I can do
I can’t force anyone to choose
So I just go with the wind’s breeze
That floats gently through the trees
Let destined fate carry the weight
So I can walk the path straight
My shoulders can be strong
But they grow weary after long
So I continue reaching for the stars
Even though they seem so far
I will only accomplish what I can
Who knows how long I’ll stand
But that means I must act on chance
Find some friendship and romance
Before it is too late and my life is up
To just ignore my dreams is bad luck
The line between dream and reality
Is blurred in my crazy mentality
There’s no limit on the right or left
Until I take my last dying breath

I promise to never let a fleeting idea pass
I promise to cherish each day as my last
I swear that I’ll be the best person I can
I’m just going along with life unplanned
