I’m a Christian artist specializing in watercolor paintings, digital art, Christian art, web design and anime art. I live at home with my family and five cats, only two of whom we intended to get. Cats just come to people who love them. My hobbies are reading (especially classic literature and poetry, Christian books, science, history and geography/culture,) painting, web design, drawing, and researching/collecting Japanese kimono.

I really, really love textiles and textile art- I’m more enthusiastic about a visit to Hancock’s Fabrics than most girls are over their first date. (Remember that kimono-clad, Victorian-boot-wearing Apache who was hugging the fabric in the discount section? That was me.) My love of textiles is one of the reasons I’m so interested in kimono- the level of workmanship and variety of techniques traditionally used in the making of Japanese kimono is absolutely incredible (my favorite technique is Yuzen- wearable watercolor paintings FTW!)

My other hobby is tweaking cascading stylesheets to change web layouts- CSS is absolutely amazing, and when it’s used properly can change almost anything about a web page without ever having to edit the HTML. I like to mess with the CSS at sites like LiveJournal and Artician to make custom layouts. :) (I do take commissions to do this, BTW. If you need a custom layout, contact me. It’s usually about $20.00 USD, but if you just want minor color tweaking or a background image inserted, it will be way less.)

• MeyerWeb : CSS Edge When I was still a ‘baby’ web designer, it was this site which impressed me with the wonderful beauty of CSS. I first learned how to code by looking at his source coding.
