Artist's Description

Lying in my tent, trying to warm up, I heard a noise that sounded like the end of the world. Diving out we saw an avalanche heading our way. Thankfully it didn’t hurt any one but it came as close as I ever want to be to an avalanche. What you can’t see at this resolution (I have a higher res on my hard drive) is a trail of about 40 sherpas who were bringing down the body of a fallen comrade just to the right of the avalanche. They stopped an watched in horror thinking it would take all of them off the mountain.
