My days are overwhelming, their weight is choking me,
I scream through the exhaustion – please just let me be.
I cast off the mindworn shackles and kick off my human shoes,
And run outside to touch the Earth and seek her healing views.
My face and arms reach upwards, my feet dance on the ground,
I remember where I came from and forget that I was bound
I breathe in all the magic that the Mother offers me,
I feel the Earth, the sky, the water, I feel life and know I’m free.
Then return to work with the slow footsteps of stark humanity,
But hold within her wisdom for the balance that I need.
I face anew my journey with the simple memory,
That the beauty can’t be found out there unless it first exists in me.
