A calendar to celebrate our lovable Aussie larrikins – the white-tailed and the red-tailed Black Cockatoos that live in the south west of Western Australia and provide both character and soundtrack to the local landscape.
Fifty percent of any profits from the sale of this calendar will go to Jamarri Black Cockatoo Sanctuary in the state’s south west – Jamarri is run by David and Dee Patterson, who have been rescuing, caring for and releasing Black Cockatoos for over 26 years.
Meanwhile, if you would like to help the plight of our endangered wildlife, then perhaps spare a thought for our endangered forests….. if we don’t take action now, the old growth forests that are so critical to the future wellbeing of not just the birds and animals, but the whole of this country, will be destroyed forever. I have not been on RB since this time last year when I made a few calendars…. and yes, you are right, I am very involved with nature and wildlife projects – this calendar is part of a promotion to draw awareness to the loss of old growth forests and to help stop the destruction of forest habitats…….
