Diamonds in the Rough?
Diamonds are not my best friends,
but my best friends are diamonds.
So…..a little question here….can anyone tell me what this actually is…..might look like a cluster of precious stones, but in actual fact…...
it is …......?
VIEW LARGER (it won’t help answer the question, but sure looks good lol!)

Is it like a sugercane?? Looks brilliant!! :) Love these games teehee
MooseMan, about 1 month ago
Hi Wendy, with the little leaf emerging from the center, I have to assume that this is some kind of plant along the lines of a celery cluster, sliced off. As for the cow connection, maybe it grows well in manure? ...a cow sliced it off for you? ...you shot this in Jersey? :)
Carol & Kev Ha..., about 1 month ago
A clump of grass chewed off maybe….dunno…but certainly a very fascinating image….
Wendy Slee, about 1 month ago
Okay…you guys are getting too close….

here’s the final clues
Xanthorrhoea australis
Wendy Slee, about 1 month ago
yeah…..it is the (Australian Blackboy).....Xanthorrhoea australis as seen on our farm after the cows found them…they love to munch out the tender center parts of these otherwise spiky plants (when they can reach them that is, as the older plants grow several meters tall)
This one had a cow munch it down…you were close Ted and Carol! But I was drawn to the amazing patterns left inside….. in the early morning light, they looked like little diamonds….
Thanks for “playing”...... :-)
Wendy Slee in reply to Trevor Fellows’s comment, about 1 month ago
thanks Trev….. all is revealed….

Wendy Slee in reply to cazz’s comment, about 1 month ago
Never mind…I should not have “spilled the beans” so soon, as I think this was fun….

Wendy Slee in reply to Kelly KMA Bermingham’s comment, about 1 month ago
aha! You should always go with the first thoughts or ideas that pop into your head! But I have to say, I would sometimes swap my Nikon for one of those handy little point and shoots like my last camera, as that did far better macro shots than the Nikon D80 does…. true!!!
Wendy Slee in reply to DarrenJames’s comment, about 1 month ago
Thanks Darren….its all good fun, and Mother Nature sure has some handiwork out there just waiting to be discovered!

Hi Wendy…Here is Sacred Geometry in its NATURAL element. This is Creation Expressing itself…even if it had to be trimmed by a cow to show itself.
Love and Light

Absolutely fascinating. What creativity, to take a shot of a plant chewed by a cow and turn it into diamonds! Your final result is a beautiful and intriguing image!
Wendy Slee in reply to TheKittyGirl’s comment, about 1 month ago
