Gemma McGills Goes Large-Part-2

Could it be Casey back from the grave?!

Gemma McGills-Part-2

Waking up from such a cramped position at 7.30am on a Monday morning. I didn’t want to rise but knew the day was calling out to me. Today was the day I was going to find a job and work on finding an apartment.
Jumping in the shower, getting ready and then rushing out the door. The sunshine was warm and inviting. It hit my face and glared me in the eyes. It felt nice and very differnt to New York’s cold days.

I walked along the Yarra River just blocks away from my otel.I was overcome by joy as Flinders St appraoched. It was a number of years before I’d felt home again and this brought back memories from long ago. The structures of the buildings and the hussling along the pavements and the noises of cars, trams and almost everything filled the streets.

I headed onto the train after buying a ticket and headed to what used to be my favourite shopping centre Sunsette Point. It was only 20 minutes to get there, it had it’s own Train staion near the enterance of the centre. This always made for quick exits and easier entering with shopping rushes.

I was hoping to find myself a job at Sunsette Point. It was an amazing centre with five levels packed full of everything any lady would want or ask for.

Strolling through the centre, which had just opened. I looked around, it had changed and grown so big since my last time.

Catching the corner of my eye a big red place that look like fun, it read “Jack’s Snax”. So I etered it with an open mind. It was a family resturant that was hiring so it jumped out to me as I walked in, the sign was bold and so felt like this was my new job. I spoke to the Manager who was pretty chuft after reading my resume’ and hired me right on the spot!

I was so over the moon. As My new Manager Ellen, tall slender build with two toned hair gave me my orientation pack and a uniform.
“Here you go Gemma” Ellen cheered.
“Thanks Ellen” I replied estactically. This was the easiest job I’d ever been given.
“You start tomorrow at 9am, you’re in the kitchen” She again chimed.

Walking out the door feeling good about myself I treated myself to lunch.
I caught my eye on a nice small cafe’ that was called Pandora, a chinese place that seemed rather interesting. They supported Vegatarian meals and so I was in luck!

As I sat down in the bright orange leather chairs a waitress was by my side in only minutes of me being seated. I ordered a big bowl of chips with salsa dip…yum…I thought as I ordered.

Ten minutes pass, my eyes cirling the Cafe’. I noticed someone sitting at the back of the Cafe’ reading the Newspaper.

I stood up very quickly, dropping my chair to the ground, people staring at me so intently. Examing the person who sat only metres away from me.
My heart racing, pounding…BEAT BEATBEAT
My mouth opened and my jaw dropped, eyes lit up like Christmas lights, my voice trembling and then I spoke…
“Casey”....
