this guy was a really cool find in my yard!! had never seen him here before & thought he was very interesting! it’s a type of Assassin bug, Wheel bug. there are 110 species of assassin bugs in North America. but you might want be careful, if you see one because the defensive bites of these bugs can be painful!

    Great capture – this bugs structure looks familiar to what I took – is it really called a wheel bug?

    well, that’s what it says in my insect book. hmm…yours looks kind of similar to a plant bug? not sure what kind, there’s many of them! or maybe a species of assassin bug? not sure. thanks voltaire!
