In my art I often symbolize youth and innocence with the colour green. I use purple and blue to express value and honor. White is usually synonymous with purity. In the painting called “Each Day A Gift” this young girl stands with her arms extended as she accepts a gift from the world that embraces her value and honors her innocent and the purity of her heart.

Art details: The young girl’s hair is made of leaves as are her wings. Purity (white clouds) are at her feet, the trees are blue and shades of deep purple. A white bright light centers her sky. This painting is based on a pencil sketch.

You make my heart sing. I love the work too, but I know why and where it comes from…that inner place inside of you that is pure and wonderful and perfect just as you are.

Charming Magdalene. You have control of a skill many have forgotten, you can do dainty. Odd how that word has lost its impact as a compliment. But it describes for me this magical moment of happy wonder and trust. Oddly, dainty can be complex but it must be clean and fragile. How easily you seem to do it. But then again, the ballerina smiles through the greatest demands, right?

    Wonderful work.
