I couldn’t resist this tail end of a 1954 Chevy…so artistically rusted and weather beaten. My Nikon D50 and 18-55mm DX lens couldn’t wait to capture this work of Mother Nature’s art. Found in a scrapyard near Vineland ON which is between Hamilton and Niagara Falls in CANADA.

Views and comments always welcomed.

Hardly recognizable, but eye-catching! I don’t recognize that color scheme…….. Anyway, we had a light green ’53, & a brown ’55, but my aunt & uncle had a powder blue (with white top) ’54 Bel Air. Great cars; great, albeit weathered, shot, Ron.

  • Thanks a bunch Sheila. The colour scheme is Mother Nature’s as the best paint shop in the Universe couldn’t duplicate that. Just think, this has the colours of your ‘53 and ’55 Bel Air blended in…and being weathered is what it’s all about…the name of the Rustbucket Game. :)) By the way, my father had a ’56 and had it for 12 years. >Ron<

This is so COOL Ron, the colours blend well together. ..Jules…Favour

  • Thanks a bunch for the compliments and fave Julie. All the character was at the back end. The front was just brown. Funny how weathering works. ♥Ron♥

A fair bit of restorartion work hey Ron, great shot and find.

  • Thanks as usual buddy. Seeing the front of this jalopy, it’s waaayyyyy beyond restoration. The front and back were like 2 different cars. >Ron<

Cool image Ron. Love the colours and your post processing work.

  • Thanks a bundle Steve. As far as the PP went, just enhanced the colours that were there. Mother Nature did the rest of the artwork. :)) >Ron<

Not much chance of restoration here…mother nature recovers her resources! Cool shot Ron!

  • You got THAT right about the restoration comment. You should’ve seen the front. Talk about a lost cause. Thanks for the kudo. >Ron<
