This locomotive was built in 1910 at Montreal Locomotive Works. It underwent a couple of number changes before 103 was applied. It was pulled from TH&B’s roster in 1956 and selected for preservation. After an overhaul and new paint job, was placed in Hamilton ON’s Gage Park in CANADA. In January of 1977 it was moved to Westfield Heritage Centre near Rocton ON, just west of Hamilton. In 1993 it was noted that 103 had deteriorated to derelict condition but it wasn’t until 1997 that restoration had begun and was finally completed in May of 2005. It’s been maintained since. TH&B stands for Hamilton, Toronto & Buffalo, a shortline which operated until the later 1980s when Canadian Pacific bought it out. Image captured with a Nikon D50 and 18-55mm DX lens.
