This flashy early ‘50s Chevy Pick Up caught my eye at a swap meet with its unique colour & designer paint job. Used a polarizer filter to darken the sky and enhance the truck’s colours.

My Nikon D80 with 18-55mm DX lens captured this truck in Waterdown ON CANADA….just west of Hamilton.

Well taken especially like the perspective
    David

  • Thanks again David. I find using that angle helps provide a more dynamic or imposing appearance of the vehicle.

Great shot! Love the angle and the effect you got with the filter is awesome!

  • Thanks a bunch Robin for your swell compliments. Much appreciated. I’ve begun using a polarizer regularly as it not only punches up the colour, but removes unwanted reflections from the vehicles…like people and the car beside it. The only trouble is you lose shutter speed.

No other appropriate word but COOOOL. Yes, indeed.

  • Thanks a bundle Sheila. It goes without saying this really stood out. Weeeelllllll, later today, I’ll be trying my hand at aircraft photography. Heck if I’m doing cars and trains, may as well add planes…right?

Got to dig that COOL paint job. Well taken Ron!!!

  • Thanks a bundle for your compliment and fave dear Cee. Yep, it really grabbed my attention. BTW, does 5-6-7 accept train photos now? Saw one with the regular works a few days ago. Needless to say they’d be diesels.

How cool is this truck..Love it..I would just love to drive one of these just once..beautiful shot Ron!

  • Thanks yet again for the compliment Kim. This sure was an eye catcher. No doubt you’d have to know how to shift to handle this baby. That lets me out…even though I’ve been told I’m shifty. :))

Great paint job and you have photographed it from a very interesting angle. Good shot, Ron!

  • Thank you kindly for the generous compliment Carol. An early vehicle departure that day worked in my favour as I was able to isolate this. On the down side, there were a few awesome wheels I didn’t get around to.
