A previous Top Ten in Cee’s Fun Artsy Friends group

This is hot off the press, as was just taken less than 12 hours ago from this point. These 2 gems, a ‘31 and a ’28 Ford, were 2 of the last remaining vehicles at a car event in Rockton ON CANADA; just west of HAMILTON. When I saw these 2 side by side alone, in the rural surroundings, I thought I stepped into the past…and wish I could’ve. Needless to say my Nikon D80 and 18-55mm DX lens couldn’t resist capturing these two classics.

I felt that a typical colour image wouldn’t have done this setting justice. Thus I blended Sepia with B&W and returned the vehicle colours to enhance it.

Great work Ron!! I missed Rockton :(
Feels like Bonnie and Clyde are going to step into the shot any moment now…

  • Thanks a bundle Gary for the compliment and fave. This event was a great example of arriving in the morning regardless of the advertised closing time. Most of the cars were gone by 1. However, I wouldn’t have got this shot if they hadn’t left. I also got the Bonnie & Clyde impression.

A brilliant stroke of luck – On Location with Sundawg Ron! Wonderful treatment; works just perfectly.

  • Thanks Sheila. This certainly WAS a stroke of luck with these 2 being together and cars leaving long before the scheduled closing.

  • Thank you kindly for the compliments. Very much appreciated. This was only possible courtesy of early departures of other cars.
