TopTen in MUTED’s Train Track Challenge Mar.6,2013

Weak sunlight through storm clouds accounted for an eerie appearance of these seemingly unused tracks. My Nikon D50 and 18-55mm DX lens caught these tracks at Ayr ON in CANADA.

Great job Ron! Right up close to my place now :)

  • Thanks a bundle Gary for the compliment and fave. So you’re near Ayr??? I thought you were closer to the Kitchener area. By the way, just found out there’s a British Car Show at the Ancaster Fairgrounds this Sunday. Starts at 9:30 with $5 admission. Don’t know if I can make it or not, but thought I’d let you know.

Very nice! Looks like it’s still being used occasionally…

  • Thanks a bundle Bill. Yeah, they still are used on occasion, but the mainline is where these tracks lead into. The weed invasion indicates infrequent use, though the shiny rail surface reveals some usage…and likely recently.
