No, the white isn’t blooming blossoms. It’s ice on the branches. I wanted to call this This is Spring???, but Windows wouldn’t let me use a question mark in the title, so settled for this caption. This and the other image are courtesy of freezing rain Thursday morning.

My Nikon D80 and 70-300mm VR lens caught this in a small park in east Hamilton, ON, Canada. I preferred this impressionistic version over the normal version.

Views and comments always welcomed and appreciated.

Beautiful Work, another great hoar frost, we have actually got some sun today, its 1pm here,
going for surgery on May 9th to my left hand and a new knee later in the year,
    love and hugs Ann xoxox
    .

  • So pleased you finally got some sun Ann. We haven’t had a heckuva lot either, and most of this week is supposed to be rainy. I think your rain has come over here. LOL Sure hope all goes well with your hand surgery…and maybe you can sneak in an abbreviated trip over here before your knee surgery??? To think it was ’09 when we last saw each other. :(( Wishful thinking, but it would be divine seeing you again. Love, hugs & XXXXXXXXXXX, ♥Ron♥

This reminds me why I left Boston so many years ago…Very cool shot Ron!

  • Thanks a bunch Bill. This is easier to accept in its time…but not when blooms are supposed to start. Speaking of Boston, I sure hope those bastards that set the bombs are caught and strung up. The victims have my sympathies. >Ron<

    Lovely shot Ron!

  • Thanks so much Carmen. Great seeing from you again. There was so much potential, yet little time to capture the frozen beauty. This was the week before, and yesterday our temps were in the 70s. Tomorrow, it’s back to low 30s…CRRRRAAAAAZZZZZYYYYY. Hugz, ♥Ron♥

I know, Ron spring is a long time coming this year. Today it is still so windy and cold, I have tons of snow in my backyard which will take another few weeks to melt. It falls off the roof….oh well, I suppose , like every year, once the hot weather is here, we forget :-) All to say, that this is in spite of the frost a wonderful , amazing shot Have a great day!

  • Thanks kindly for your compliment and comments Elfie. I feel for you still tolerating wintry conditions. Things are finally shaping up here, with temps in the teens; and climbing to 20 by mid week. However, only the Forsythia are in flower at this time…but the others are in bud. Hopefully in a week or so, blossoms will be out. Hang in there Elfie, your turn will come soon. ♥Ron♥
