Fungus On Stump
I couldn’t pass this up. It’s not often I come across Bracket Fungus like this, much less with ideal accompaniment.
Captured this in the Flamborough ON area with a Nikon D50 and 70-300mm ED Nikkor lens.

Yes, a seashell, or one of those wee porcelain soap dishes – you’re right about this being an unusual bracket. It all comes together perfectly.
