Snow and Sand
I grew up in the Dakota’s in the USA and was quite used to snow…sand was not so usual here. The first time I saw snow and sand together in Norway, I was amazed! I had always thought that when there was sand, there was warmth! WRONG!
Snow and Sand belongs to the following groups:

The browns and purples work so well. I was on a beach once when it was snowing – very odd.

I had the same mistaken idea as you did—I spent most of my adult life in southern Nevada (Las Vegas area). It got really cold in Nevada, sand or not, and one time I was snowed out of town and couldn’t get home for a week!
sunchaser replied
We just had a HUGE spring storm up here in Dakota….from 1-3 feet of snow. 2 days later it was GONE!!! It was fun!

Snow and Sand, Coming from a warm country, I never thought that snow and sand would exist. Great shot, great subject
sunchaser replied
Ron, yes, it is weird to see…..especially since it was biting cold! Where are the hammocks??? The pina coladas???

Amanda, it DID! The snow and sand were moving as I was shooting. I almost lost my balance….
