Artist's Description

This is the studio of William Chadwick (1879-1962) a member of the Lyme Art Colony. A practical place for painting, this large window provided northern light for the studio. Under the window is a wide workbench for mixing pigments and spreading out painting tools. The bottles appear to have been dug up near the studio.
