Sneaking up on a busy bee on a pretty flower in the soft light of early fall… I thought I knew what this flower was, but my neighbor says I’m wrong. I think it’s Joe Pye Weed, but if it is, it’s not the usual kind that she grows.
We have agreed on the Latin name which is Eupatorium rugosum. This one is “Chocolate”. I have the name tag.
