Artist's Description

This is an artist’s interpretation of a lovely yellow rose painted on the floor of a dance hall. Scuffed and dirtied by tapping cowboy boots while “The Yellow Rose of Texas” rings out at full blast, this cement floor takes a rhythmic pounding!

Canon EOS REBEL T1i, Canon Macro Lens EF-S 60mm 1:2.8 USM Ultrasonic.
Digitally painted (edited) in Corel Paint Shop Pro using masks and blending layers with 2 textures by French Kiss and 2 of my own.
Location: Chincoteague, off the coast of Virginia (USA).
Season: spring, May 3rd.
Dedicated to my Texas relatives.
