It’s 7:42 PM in this quiet country cemetery in eastern Pennsylvania (USA) and the flag sways gently over the grave of a World War II Navy veteran. In the next grave is a 25 year old women, member of the US Army, who died in 2007. This particular cemetery is filled with flags, but let this one flag represent all the US veterans of all the wars. Memorial Day is meant to honor them all. Fallen petals from a nearby dogwood tree and a token poppy decorate the grass. Though it is only May 6th, this cemetery is ready for Memorial Day!

USA MILITARY MARCH TAPS ON TRUMPET….
There are no official words to the music, Taps, but here are some of the more popular verses:
Day is done, gone the sun,
From the hills, from the lake,
From the sky.
All is well, safely rest,
God is nigh.
Go to sleep, peaceful sleep,
May the soldier or sailor,
On the land or the deep,
Safe in sleep.
Thanks and praise, For our days,
’Neath the sun, ‘neath the stars,
’Neath the sky,
As we go, This we know,
God is nigh.
