Following a rainy afternoon, a misty twilight descends on the peaceful harbor on Ocracoke Island in one of the small communities just outside the boundaries of Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Managed by the National Park Service, this United States National Seashore preserves the portion of the Outer Banks of North Carolina from Bodie Island to Ocracoke Island, stretching over 70 miles.
