One sign of spring is blooming crocuses. These were growing underneath a large bush in a tangle of grass and leaves. Too lovely to be hidden away from view, but this makes them an even better surprise when they are discovered. Maybe they were planted there and then when their short season ended an unknowing gardener planted the bush almost on top of them. ☺
