The Fountain in Forsyth Park, Savannah by SummerJade

The Fountain in Forsyth Park, Savannah by

In 1851, Savannah’s original 1733 garden park was expanded and named for John Forsyth, a Georgia Governor. At the park’s north end is a cast iron fountain that was erected in 1858. The Forsyth Park Fountain was designed to resemble the grand fountain in Paris at the Place de la Concorde. An exact replica of the Forsyth Park Fountain resides in Cuzco, Peru.

First of all, Savannah is one of my favorite places; I’m about 90 miles from it right now (Statesboro). You captures the effervescence of this fountain perfectly.
