To a gardener, variety adds zing to the garden. Though most peonies seem to be ball shaped, there are other types like this single form, early bloomer. It has pale, flesh-pink petals with a large gold center….distinctive, and not a sphere! It flutters with the slightest breeze. It may be a gardener’s dream, but it’s a photographer’s nightmare! ☺
