As a re-enactor, this one has no equal! During his tour of the Pirates’ House, he never went out of character even for a moment. He interacted beautifully with the children, all the while holding the attention of every adult. As he appeared in each of the small dining areas he became an entertaining, swash-buckling pirate. I thought he was the real Jack Sparrow, but when I asked I was told that…No, Johnny Depp doesn’t work restaurants. Guess not…according to Wikipedia Depp has been listed in the 2012 Guinness Book of World Records as the highest paid actor, with (a price tag of) $75 million."
He appears here in a small room which became the starting structure of the Pirates’ House. It was built in 1734 on this plot of land to house the gardener and was called the Herb House. It is said to be the oldest building in the state of Georgia.
