Suana Verelst

Suana Verelst was born in Antwerp, Belgium and currently lives in Montreal. She grew up in Kortrijk, a Belgian town close to the French border. She studied drawing and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in St Niklaas before leaving for Canada to study Art History, Fine Arts and Graphic Design.

She has collaborated on children’s books and illustrated a few which were published in Quebec, Belgium and the USA and received an award for two illustrations she submitted to “Applied Arts Magazine” in Toronto, Canada and most recently two of her illustrations were chosen to be permanently displayed on the website of “American Illustration and American Photography” in New York.
