Beirut, Lebanon –
This glorious new mosque
2006, Mohamed Al-Amin Mosque (a.k.a. Hariri Mosque) was built by Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri before his assassination.
There is now way to miss the blue domes or minarets of Al Amin mosque in downtown Beirut.
It stands proud overlooking Place des Martyrs-Martyrs Square, the focal point of Beirut; is slowly becoming a defining symbol of the city.
This beautiful mosque resembles the Blue Mosque of Istanbul.
This photo was shot on Beirut Marathon race day Nov. 30 at the final line, where the marathon village was located.
