Heaven's wall
Poster collages on a wall in Beirut featuring three people who died in awkward conditions. The photo was remixed by sugarpop
Bottom right: Samir Kassir was a university professor, journalist and historian, a prominent left-wing activist, a strong advocate of freedom for the Palestinians, democracy in Lebanon and Syria and a vocal critic of the Syrian presence in Lebanon. He was assassinated on 2 June 2005 and his murderers remain unknown.
Behind the young boy waving his hand: Bashir Gemayel, the charismatic Christian politician, was a strong military and shrewd leader, who was the commander of the Lebanese Forces, a coalition of all the Christian militias of Lebanon.
Elected Lebanese President in 1982, he got assassinated only 8 days before he was supposed to be installed in the presidential office. The bomb was placed at the Phalangist headquarters in Ashrafiyeh, Beirut.
As, for the young boy, he died accidentally, while skiing and the poster that reads “will never forget you” was stamped all over the city of Beirut.

A very artistic way of connecting three people with different histories, lives and effect on the Lebanese people, and creating a common denominator for them in the collage. Great concept and addition to the Art of the Middle East group
