I have been painting since I was in secondary school. In the last ten years I have approached my art in a more professional manner. I have entered into many exhibitions over that period of time, winning art prizes and awards in New South Wales and Queensland.I also have artworks in private collections in the U.S.A. and NewZealand. My paintings are usually from the imagination and semi-abstract,but occasionaly I will revert back to a more realistic style. I like to create works that are ambiguous, revealing themselves over time so you discover new layers of meaning or textures within,which shift in the light to reveal another aspect, veils of colour, ancient cultures, icons,symbolism,and mystery.I enjoy using inks, acrylic, oil pastels, collage, tar and shellac in combinations as mixed media.Mainly using canvas, heavy watercolour paper or card.I hope my artistic endeavors bring pleasure to those who view or purchase my work.
